As Chief Executive Officer of QIC, Damien Frawley is responsible for leading the Executive Committee team to achieve QICs strategic and business objectives. Mr Frawley has over 26 years’ experience in the financial services sector and has a strong focus on developing and executing strategy, particularly around growth and sales.
Most recently, Mr Frawley was the country head of BlackRock Australia, responsible for managing $45 billion of assets on behalf of clients. Prior to this, he was BlackRock’s Head of Account Management, overseeing sales, marketing and product efforts across institutional and retail channels. Mr Frawley’s career has also included roles at Merrill Lynch Investment Management, Barclays Global Investors and Citibank. Prior to his career in financial services he represented Australia in rugby union.
Mr Frawley holds a number of memberships and directorships, including Member of Queensland Community Foundation’s Board of Governors; Member of CEDA State Advisory Council; Honorary Member of CPA Australia and Chairman of Queensland Rugby Union.
