Chief Executive Officer, IFC Asset Management Company
Gavin Wilson has been Chief Executive Officer of IFC Asset Management Company LLC (AMC) since its founding in 2009. A wholly-owned subsidiary of the International Finance Corporation, AMC raises and manages third party capital, investing in private enterprise in developing countries. AMC has $9 billion under management across twelve regional and sectoral funds, including private credit, private equity and fund of funds products.
Before joining AMC, Mr Wilson was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs International. Prior experience includes the Bank of England, McKinsey & Company and the World Bank Group, where he worked in the Bank’s Africa region and in IFC’s investment and advisory businesses.
Mr Wilson is a Commissioner for the Business and Sustainable Development Commission and a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on International Governance, Public-Private Cooperation and Sustainable Development. He was educated at University of Oxford (BA) and Stanford University (MBA).
