Guilherme Leal

Guilherme Leal is a Brazilian business and social entrepreneur, Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors and one of the founders of Natura Cosméticos, a Brazilian company globally recognised or its commitment to sustainability.

In the Brazilian general elections in 2010, Mr Leal ran as Ms Marina Silva’s (PV/Green Party) Vice President. They achieved nearly 20m votes, representing approximately 20% of the Brazilian electorate.

In 2000 he became closely involved with many environmental institutions, such as Brazilian Biodiversity Fund (Funbio) and WWF Brazil. Since he has been dedicated to structuring his egacy through Instituto Arapyaú, an organisation dedicated to education and sustainable development.

Over the past 25 years, he has also participated in the creation and promotion of various business and social organisations, such as Fundação Abrinq (Abrinq Foundation for Children’s ights), Ethos Institute – Companies and Social Responsibility and Instituto Akatu (Akatu Institute for Conscious Consumption). Mr Leal has a degree in Business Administration from the University of São aulo and is alumni of the Advanced Management Program at Fundação Dom Cabral/INSEAD.
