Michael Rüdiger

Michael Rüdiger has been Chief Executive Officer of DekaBank since November 2012, and is a Member of the Board of Management of Deutsche Sparkassen- und Giroverband e.V. and Bundesverband öffentlicher Banken Deutschlands e.V. He started his professional career in 1983 and in 1991 he worked in Risk Management at the former Schweizerische Kreditanstalt in Zurich and Frankfurt/Main, before being appointed to the Management Board of Schweizerische Bankgesellschaft AG, now UBS, in 1996. From 1998 to 2000, Mr Rüdiger was Managing Director of Allianz Asset Management GmbH. He also held a variety of management positions in the Credit Suisse Group starting at the end of 2000, and was appointed Chief Executive Officer for Central Europe in March 2008.

Mr Rüdiger is a member of numerous organisations including Member of the Advisory Board of Friends and Supporters of Museum für Moderne Kunst e.V.; Member of the Board of Management and Executive Committee of Gesellschaft für Kapitalmarktforschung e.V.; and Member of the Supervisory Board of Evonik Indus-tries AG.
